Ear or forehead via infrared
Measuring temperature is very easy via infrared. Simply point the device’s sensor at the surface to be measured. Depending on your preference, you can use this thermometer as an ear thermometer in your ear canal or as a forehead thermometer. You can switch between these 2 settings by removing or replacing the forehead temperature measuring cap. The LCD display shows which measuring method you are using with a drawing of an ear or head.
Accurate and reliable
The thermometer measures quickly and with a wide temperature range from 32.0°C to 43.0°C. If desired, you can also easily convert the unit of measurement to Fahrenheit (measuring range 89.6°F – 109.4°F). You do this with a button on the side. If the measured temperature goes out of range, the thermometer will indicate ‘Lo’ (low) or ‘Hi’ (high). The message ‘Err’ (error/error) shows you whether something goes wrong during the measurement. NOTE: The thermometer measures with a maximum margin of 1°C. The measurement may therefore deviate by 1°C.
Color coding and sound
In addition to a very fast, digital display of your body temperature, this thermometer additionally has a special three-color backlight that emphasizes the temperature range. Below 37.5°C the LCD lights up green, between 37.5°C and 38°C the screen turns orange as a sign of increase and at a temperature above 38°C the color code is red. color also sounds 1 long beep. If the screen turns orange or red, you will hear 3 short beeps. Would you rather have no sound? You can also switch off the beep.
Useful extras
In memory mode, the thermometer stores the last temperature measurements. In total it can remember 32 measurements. During measurement, an indicator light turns green to indicate that you have activated the device. To save energy, the thermometer switches off automatically after about a minute. Are the batteries almost empty? Then you will receive a notification. You can also set it to different modes for children and adults for a more specific measurement result.
