Unlike conventional taps, when you turn it on with the handle in the central position you only get cold water, courtesy of hansgrohe CoolStart technology. Hot water is only added once you have moved the handle to the left. This is particularly useful if you only need a small amount of water very briefly and the temperature doesn’t matter. However, with hansgrohe CoolStart the pipe system does not fill up unnecessarily with hot water, which then cools down and is wasted. The high-quality ceramic tap system is “Made in Germany”, manufactured at the company’s in-house cartridge plant in the Black Forest. It is particularly low-noise and is permanently easy to move. During installation you can also limit the maximum temperature, to protect you from being scalded. Thanks to the practical pop-up waste, you can control the drain in the wash basin using a handle. This Focus basin tap is also easy to install thanks to the flexible connection hoses.
