In order to enjoy the 4K high resolution, please make sure to use HDMI 4K cable and the monitor support 4K.
If your usb-c device supports 4K resolution but your monitor only supports 1080P, then you will only get 1080P resolution in stead of 4K.

If your USB-C host supports DP Alt Mode but our adapter just not working, please don’t be mad first and read this:
Please make sure that you have chosen the correct input source on the monitor. For example, some TV might have more than one HDMI input port, then should choose the corresponding HDMI interface you plug in as the display source.
Try another hdmi cable to see if it is the problem of cable.
Restart your devices (both USB-C device and monitor) and retry.
Lower the resolution and retry.
Make sure the connection is stable and tighten
