These Collapsible Traps are constructed from coated spring loaded wire and rot proof nylon mesh, with a 15cm trap entrance at either end to double their effectiveness. Perfect for Catching Crabs, Lobster, Shrimp, Eels, and Crayfish, The Hillington Crab Basket features a zipped bait pocket in the base to attract your catch. A large Zip access on the side of the trap gives you easy access to your catch, making this an excellent little net, that is so simple to use, making it suitable not just for children but also for older fishermen.
The Hillington Crab Baskets are easy to use. Simply place a piece of raw meat in the bait pouch at the bottom of the net, and leave in a desirable place for an hour or two before retrieving your trap. Crabs and Crayfish like bait such as bacon, chicken, fish and the like. You don’t need the good bits – use the bits that you throw away in a big soggy mess. Crabs are not that fussy when it comes to raw meat, but do love bacon, So much so that they don’t want to let go – great for landing your crabs but not so great when you want it back.
