Holmegaard Denmark is the largest and oldest glass shed and started its first production in 1825. Initially, the factory produced only green bottles, but the widow Henriette of Count Christian Danneskiold-Samsøe also wanted to produce clear glass – which was possible for Bohemian glassblowers. Today, both mouth-blown and machine glass is realised using the latest and state-of-the-art manufacturing methods.
