The Homematic IP motion sensor for 55 frames combines a 2-way wall switch with a powerful motion sensor within the Homematic IP smart home system. Despite its compact dimensions, the integrated sensor reliably detects movement within 12 metres range with a detection angle of 80°. In addition, the built-in twilight sensor detects the current brightness. The integrated buttons allow direct entry or Switching off Homematic IP actuators or also the activation or deactivation of the eco operation. Two micro batteries provide the button sensor combination for up to two years with energy (in normal operation). If the sensor is to be used as part of the Homematic IP security solution, the use of a Homematic IP power supply for brand switches (HmIP-BPS) is recommended, as the increased requirements for radio communication significantly reduces battery life. The 55 frame dimensions allow easy integration into the switch series of leading brand manufacturers both in battery and mains operation. For operation, the Homematic IP Access Point is necessary in conjunction with the free app (free cloud service), the central CCU2/CCU3 or a suitable partner solution.
