The IB-256WP is an external enclosure suitable for a 2.5 inch hard drive or SSD. The height of the drive can be up to 15 mm and it supports SATA I/II/III HDDs or SSDs up to 6 Gbps. The data is transmitted via a USB 3.0 port with up to 5 Gbps. The USB port supports UASP function, which optimises data transfer and increases speed. The write protection switch on the back of the case protects against accidental deletion of data. It works similar to the write protection switch of an SD card. Another important advantage of such write protection is that the content on the secured drive is no longer tamperable by security gaps of a software, for example. through a virus. You have complete control when to change your data. The case is made of high quality aluminium and is protected by a silicone case. The silicone case is removable. A status LED gives information about operation and access. The case supports plug & play and hot swap.
