It has a brand new proximity sensor, this sensor is responsible for telling your phones screen to shut off when the phone is held close to your ear. There is also a new ambient light sensor, this sensor detects external lighting conditions and adjusts the screens brightness. IF any of these features are not working on your iPhone XR then this cable is what is needed to fix that. PLEASE NOTE: If you change the ear speaker flex cable in the iPhone XS Max, the Face ID function will not longer work. This is because the Face ID is tethered to your motherboard and only the factory original cable can be paired with your mother board.
