JONGSUN ND1000 72mm filter is specially designed for landscape photographers. It’s made from S-Pro high quality optical glass (SCHOTT B270) adopt nano double-sided 18-layer multi-coating, this means ultra violet to near-infrared light can pass through evenly, ensuring a perfectly neutral effect optical Nano coating is also anti-glaring and anti-reflective, alleviating solar glare.
The JONGSUN ND1000 72mm filter allows 0.10% light transmittance, meaning you reduce 10 stop to achieve the desired light attenuation. Simply put, it reduces the amount of light that hits your camera sensor without affecting the colour balance.
To enable slow shutter speeds to be used, especially with high speed films, to record movement in subjects such as waterfalls, clouds, or cars. To decrease depth of field by allowing wider apertures to be used, which helps separate subjects from their background. To decrease the effective ISO of high speed film and allow it to be used outdoors in bright situations. To allow cine and video cameras (which have fixed shutter speeds) to film subjects such as snow, sand or other bright scenes which could cause overexposure.
