General: Jumbo grass bedding pellets made from miscanthus ensure a pleasant climate in the cage and home. 🙂 and are very productive due to their good absorbency. Initially, a “litter mattress” forms, whereby the lower part binds the urine and insulates both heat and cold while the upper part remains looser which results in a dry lying surface with less susceptibility to mould formation. Higher absorbency than straw or wood chips.
Contents: our original jumbo grass bedding pellets are made from 100% biomass, without any additional additives. The dried stems of the high Chinese grass/elephant grass (Miscanthus x giganteus) are harvested with a shredder in March/April and crushed to 2-3 cm straw length (individual tearouts are possible). Then everything is ground and pressed into almost dust-free pellets. The residual moisture at the rest time is below 10%, which results in a very good shelf life.
Origin: Our bedding pellets are not only bottled in Bavaria, but they also grow there and are processed directly on site.

For base bedding, apply Miscanthus pellets a little thicker, then lightly pour to make them swell. “Mattress” made of Jumbogras® litter pellets bind liquids extremely well, which is why in a subsequent subsequence only needs to be sprinkled very thinly. Only completely replace once the desired maximum layer thickness is reached.
