The vast majority of coconuts are harvested for their milks, oils and meat, with more than 90% of coconut products being acquired by the beauty industry.
Traditionally, once harvested the coconut shells are discarded as waste or burned to make firewood. Our artisan craftspeople turn these reclaimed coconut shells into stunning works of art, providing an important secondary income for farmers and artists as well as creating a unique and natural tealight holder for use as a home decor item or a table setting at eco-themed events.
Calming Geometric Design
Our artisan craftspeople carve each coconut shell using a simple, geometric pattern that allows tea lights to radiate through the gaps, providing a subtle, but calming geometric effect.
