The KM-A101 is an easy-to-use sound card that can act as the central link between your microphone or an instrument and your computer. The KM-A101 is suitable for the newly started project studio, where it gives you a simple and straightforward platform to make sound recordings in a higher quality than would otherwise be possible to make with your computer’s built-in sound card. The KM-A101 has a microphone input that you can use if you need to connect a microphone with an XLR connector and a separate jack input to connect a guitar, an electric bass or another musical instrument that uses standard instrument cables. There is also a stereo mini-jack input, which is intended for connecting a smartphone or other media player, so that you can record recorded sound from there.
The sound card has built-in phantom power, so you can connect condenser microphones without having to use an external phantom power supply. The input signal can be monitored via an LED display, which with a peak indicator helps you keep your recordings free of distortion. You can listen to your recordings with headphones via a headphone output or use the stereo output on the back to connect speakers. The sound card is compatible with Mac OSX and Windows, and can work with all the leading recording programs, e.g. the well-known free programs from Audacity and Studio One.
