- 1- Wire Map measures the continuity of M, L and R cables and identifies errors. You can use this function to detect discontinuity (short circuit), the ‘far end’ matcher (ID) or local port (L). At the end of the test, you will see a wiring diagram appear. If an error is detected, it will be identified on the cable (accuracy 97%, maximum length 1350 m). The “ID” code will appear on the top right, next to the “R” indicating the identifier of the satellite (“ID1″= satellite n°1)
- 2-Pair and length tests for correct parity in the cords that make up the cable, and gives the cable length for each pair.
- Allows network cable tests RJ45 (all categories, 2/4/6 or 8 wired). Tests for errors on the cables of the RJ45 cords (lost contact, short circuit, cables crossing over etc…). Not only will the display tell you which pair the error is on, but it can also locate the error, for example by telling you it is located 42 metres from the starting point. There are 8 distant testers available, which allows you to identify the cables in your patch bay: for example, you insert one end of the cable into the main tester, but you do not know how to recognise this cable in the patch bay, you can then use the 8 satellites to connect to 8 different cables and the tester will tell you it is cable n°4, for example, which corresponds to the cable inserted into the main tester.
- There is a possibility to manually calibrate the device to detect cable lengths. The test result is shown on a large LCD screen (61.6 x 25.2mm). Test can be carried out by 1 person. Runs on battery power (about 50H of operational autonomy). Automatic standby mode. Dimensions: 180 x 80 x 40 mm (77x31x21 for the satellites) – New device, sold in a box with a complete user guide (in English).
