Impersonator 54 with Kinman’s Gen-2 technology You will get Zero-Hum, longer sustain, minimized fret buzz and nice non-aged sound 1954 mellow Strat sound with this pickup. The above YouTube was recorded with a VOX AC-30 which is a quite bright amp and the signal chain set up to mimic that of Hanks Marvin playing Shadows tunes. Under identical conditions the ’54 is not as bright and sharp as the Impersonator A56 or the Fat 50.
