Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Original Lauscha glass garden or rose balls have been used for decorating gardens for a long time. At the beginning, house and garden entrances of Roman villas were decorated with it. They represented the wealth of the owners. The garden balls are also said to have magical powers. In the Middle Ages they were therefore also called “lucky balls”, which keep evil spirits away from home and yard. It was also used to protect chickens and ducks in the domestic yard from birds of prey. King Ludwig II of Bavaria also had them on his way to the garden pavilion on the Starnberg Lake. Even on the bridal evening, you can wish the bride luck in the new home with the garden ball. The colour of the garden ball played an important role. Red for love and loyalty, blue for heaven and eternity, green for fertility and peace, and yellow for the power of God. In Feng Shui teaching, the glass is life, the light. It conveys harmony and embodies openness. The balls have a protective effect for the house and its inhabitants. Thanks to its round and reflective shape, it can distract “bad” energies.
