Each of these large Leningrad Series pieces has been hand-finished and lacquered using natural waxes which help release the beautiful tone and grain of the sheesham wood. Featuring an iconic Staunton design, extreme care and attention has been given to the elegant form of the pieces. With a four inch (102 mm) high king, these pieces are impressive without being too imposing. As these larger sized pieces possess slightly narrower bases, they are perfect to accompany any a chess board from 21 inches (55 cm) upwards in size.
