Do not place your gateway on the floor. Higher is better. If you live in a two-storey house, the placement of the gateway on the second floor usually increases the radio cover. Do not place your gateway and taplinker near large metal items, e.g. a fridge. Please note that the 2.4GHz spectrum is shared by many wireless devices, including WiFi, ZigBee, Bluetooth, wireless speakers, wireless phones, TV box, webcams and more. Therefore, communication between the gateway and the taplinker in some cases may be disturbed by other 2.4GHz devices. To reduce possible interference, disconnect the gateway/taplinker from the power supply board and other 2.4 GHz devices, e.g. a WiFi router or extender to approx. 60 cm. Switch your WiFi network to the 5GHz band if possible.
