Pass the belt through the motor pulley (below) 2. Take the strap to the side of the drum pulley (from above) 3. Slowly rotate the pump pulley (accompanying the strap tightly) and the strap will be placed in place. (See Photo) Why are the straps broken? Most washing machine straps break for the same cause: because they burn. You will know that your washing machine strap has been burned because the ends of the strap have been slightly curved inwards and the inner grooving has been lowered. To prevent the strap from breaking because of this cause, do not overload the washing machine or wash shoes or sneakers. This will prevent the drum from blocking while the motor pulley rotates and the belt burns.
