The Ibo Drum is protected on the one hand due to the resistant construction and, on the other hand, due to the foam padded base which is included in the delivery.
If a free hand is needed whilst playing the Ibo, you can use the Meinl Ibo Drum Holder TMIH which is a black powder coated steel frame with foam padded base to hold the Ibo securely in place.
Using this holder gives you a lot more new options to play further instruments while using the Ibo Drum.
