S/Y OPTY Polish Sailing Yacht Plastic model making is a field of model making in which models are mainly made of plastic (today mostly polystyrene). These are typically driveless stationary models, where the interest is more on a high level of detail than robustness or function, but can also be used to play to a limited extent. Predominantly, kits made of prefabricated parts are used here. Less often you can find construction kits of deep-drawn shapes (vacuum kits) and pure resin kits.
