Wearing his chainmail vest, his armour and topped with his superb crested helmet, he has put on his majestic blue and copper cape. He is armed with his long sword and his shield bearing his emblem: a ram, which was considered back in the Middle Ages as a symbol of the forces of nature. His horse has been well prepared and is wearing a caparison to protect it from the enemy. The horse’s head armour is topped with a ram’s head, while a shield protects his breast.
