The vast majority of our Rawhide raw material comes from large cattle populations of South America. Unlike some animal feeds, the Chews are just a bye product of the leather industryng the manufacturing processing of the hides, they are treated with veterinary approved processes to ensure that the hides are actually fit for animal consumption. They undergo a irradiation process that kills all unwanted bacteria that would otherwise accelerate the aging of the product or allow bacteria to grow. This process assures the safety of the product. Furthermore the Port Health officials have Veterinary Health qualifications and take samples of our products for testing before they are allowed entry to the UK.
