A unique design oil lamp diya inspired from one of the flowers from ancient Indian literature – Champa or Champak (Michelia champaca). This beautiful, delightfully scented cream-yellow flower is used often in worship. The tree is grown in temple precincts and is considered particularly sacred to Krishna. It forms one of the five flower-darts of Kamadeva (Cupid). Champaka flowers along with Ashoka and Punnaaga adorn the locks of the Mother Goddess Lalitambika. With a removable glass covering resting inside intertwined brass tubes, and capped with crown shape lid, this deepam is perfect for a long lasting flame. It also doubles up as a safety feature to minimise any fire hazard. Once lit, after placing a wick inside and adding oil, the light can last for long and spread its warm glow all around. A great puja accessory and a decor piece for gifiting or for one’s own use.
