The tri-technology (TT) employed by the XDL12TT-AM detector consists of two independent passive infrared (PIR) sensors and a microwave sensor, all in a single container. To identify the presence of an intruder, the XDL12TT-AM uses a triple signal detection system, which means that all three sensors must be activated in quick succession to create an alarm.

- The two PIR sensors of the XD detector feature a dedicated volumetric field of view: the top PIR detects outward and from the centre upwards, while the bottom PIR detects outwards and from the centre down. In this configuration, the beams are non-overlapping; through tri-signal detection logic, we obtain highly secure sequential detection with a greater tolerance to animal detection.
- Improved outdoor performance with Anti-Sway analysis. Featuring an advanced analysis filter, designed to avoid false alarms in environments that have a combination of weather conditions characterised by wind and swaying vegetation.
- The XDL12TT-AM detector has an IP55 weatherproof rating; the detector is therefore reliable in all weather conditions and is protected from dust ingress, high density rain, water jets and snow from any direction. The rubber gasket on the lens and the foam gasket on the PIR sensor seal the detector against moisture and weather conditions.
