Croquet is a fabulous game for young and old. A game of skill with the aim to get your own ball with as few hits as possible through the hoops from start to finish. The winner is the one to get through all the hoops in sequence and reach the target peg first.  A large flat grassy surface should be used to have the best possible game. Stick the 6 hoops in whichever order into the ground. Try different routes like zigzag or a simple circle. The starting peg marks where all players have to start. Players must hit in turns and can only do this once per round. Take care only to touch the ball with the mallet. The ball must be hit by a swing and not by shoving or steering. Valid is hitting with one of the flat faces of a mallet but not the sides. One can only aim at ones own ball. Avoid touching an opponent’s or your own ball, as this would be a fault and your turn ends, even if it was accidental.
