- HIGH HUMIDITY – The primary function of the coir is water absorption. Its made up of millions of capillaries that act like micro-sponges meaning coco coir can retain up to nine times its dry mass in water volume.
- GREAT FOR GARDENING – Fibrous strands found on the outer shell of a coconut. The presence of these fibres promotes aeration and helps prevent compaction that is common in many substrates. This aeration allows oxygen to pass through the medium and reach the root zone, oxygenating the roots and encouraging more efficient respiration, resulting in healthier, more robust plant growth.
