They are insulated to a higher degree than a regular airbed despite their compact and lightweight dimensions, this model has an R value (insulation) of 2. 4 which is 1 Degree Centigrade. The peak valve that is fitted to this airbed allows it to be rolled into a very compact pack size as it has a low profile, this can then be inflated by mouth, or with a pump sack which is sold separately. This airbed is much smaller than the equivalent self inflating mat and offers great levels of comfort.
