The sera gravel brown is CO2 resistant and water-neutral, meaning it does not affect the water values and does not colour the water. It is made of ground lava stone and, thanks to its open, porous type, offers an ideal place for colonisation of beneficial bacteria. So it acts as a natural biological filter medium. At the same time, it gives plants optimal conditions for developing strong roots. Due to its natural structure, the natural gravel is not suitable for the keeping of grounding fish, such as Corydoras. Sera Gravel Brown is tested by an independent institute according to DIN 38415-6 / EN ISO 15088 and proven to be free from harmful substances, so it is also suitable for the keeping and breeding of sensitive animals.
