Dermarollers are commonly used for hair and skincare. They are thought to improve the absorption of skincare products and promote blood flow to the scalp. They do this by micro needling the scalp with the hundreds of 0.25mm needles on the roller. Used on alternate days (less at first), the roller should be disinfected prior to using each time. Using medium pressure (hard enough that you feel pressure but not hard enough to cause any pain), roll in multiple directions, lifting after each forward movement, rather than rolling back and forth. Be careful not to roll over the same area too many times. You can apply topical solutions such as Minoxidil after using the dermaroller, by doing so you should be able to increase the absorption of the Minoxidil to achieve better results. Effects can take a few months to see so remember to be patient!
