This is a Vodacom South Africa Prepaid Sim Card. This sim card must first be registered and activated inside South Africa (the ‘RICA’ process) Per South African law, this sim card will need to be registered (‘RICA’d’) before a phone number is allocated and the sim card is activated. This can be done, for free, at any phone store or supermarket in South Africa, including at Airport Arrivals. A passport or ID, along with your address in South Africa (hotel or apartment etc) must be presented. This process takes about 5 minutes. You will then be able to load credit (‘airtime’) and data bundles etc.
