The Spear and Jackson select carbon steel border fork is designed for digging and cultivation in borders, between plants or in confined spaces where a digging spade is not suitable. It also offers a lighter alternative to a digging fork due to the smaller sized blade. The carbon steel blade and socket have been heat treated for strength and finished with a powder coating for resistance to rust while the polypropylene shaft offers strength than a traditional wooden version and is finished with a forward tilting soft grip handle for comfortable use at the ideal digging angle. This spade is manufactured to exceed the British standard load test BS 3388.
