The Stanley FatMax Tamperproof Torx-tip screwdrivers have a chrome vanadium steel bar that allows high torque and reduces the risk of tip breakage. The handle is moulded directly to shaft for a virtually unbreakable bond, giving long life and durability. The soft-grip handle gives a perfect combination of great grip and reduced fatigue in use, and is colour coded for easy identification of the right tip type for the application. The smooth domed end offers a fast, comfortable spinning action and the large diameter handle offers higher torque when driving wood screws. The tip size is T40 and the blade measures 125 mm (5 inches).
The Stanley Works, originally a bolt and door hardware manufacturing company located in New Britain, Connecticut, was founded in 1843 by Frederick T Stanley. A few years later, in 1857, Frederick’s cousin, Henry Stanley, founded The Stanley Rule and Level Company. In 1920, The Rule and Level Company merged with The Stanley Works and went on to become the famous Stanley Hand Tools Division.
From the timeless Stanley Classic 199 knife, a design icon of the 20th century, to the modern range of FatMax hand tools, innovation and quality are synonymous with the Stanley name. Stanley tools are demanded for their performance by professionals, enthusiasts and DIYers alike.
Nowadays, Stanley makes much more than just knives. In addition to hand tools, the Stanley range now includes paintbrushes and rollers, sliding doors, pneumatic fastening solutions and mechanics’ tools.
