The Starrett 795M/796M series LCD outside micrometre has a digital single-value LCD readout that displays in inch and metric units with resolution to 0.00005” (0.001mm) for outside diameter (OD) measurement, and a Vernier scale in inch units for taking precise measurements. The micrometre has an Ingress Protection 67 (IP67) rating, which means that components are resistant to debris and to submersion in liquid under standard conditions for up to 30 minutes. The micrometre’s electronic microprocessor can preset, hold, or limit measurement at any position, as well as set a temporary zero position and return to a true zero reading. An automatic off function helps preserve battery life when the unit is not in use.
