In the second half of World War II, it is the Cromwell march tanks that became the mainstay of the British armored unit along with the Churchill infantry tank. Equipped with a Christie type suspension, large-diameter wheels and a 600 hp M meetia engine, it demonstrated a high speed of 65 km/h. Among them, the Mk.IV was equipped with a powerful 75 mm cannon instead of the previous 6-pounder as the main weapon. He first entered the war during the Normandy landing in June 1944 and used his high speed to contribute significantly to the Allied victory.
