- Compact designFor amplification we use Maxim MAX4466, an operational amplifier designed specifically for this delicate task. The amplifier has excellent power supply noise rejection.
- High PerformanceThis breakout is best used for projects such as voice changer, audio recording and reactive audio projects using FFT. On the back we include a small potentiometer to adjust the gain.
- ResolutionsYou can set the gain from 25x to 125x. This drops to about 200 mVpp (for normal speaking volume at about 6 inches away), which is useful for connecting to something that expects a clipless “line-level” input.
- High PerformanceUp to approximately 1 Vpp, ideal for reading from an ADC microcontroller. The output is rail to rail, so if the sound gets loud, the output can reach up to 5 Vpp.
