The difference between sprouts and Microgreens:
Microgreens, or young shoots, are basically just another developmental stage of sprouts. The beans or other seeds germinate on approximately day 2-3 after soaking. If you let them continue to grow, on day 5 they’ll become small green plants – the so called microgreens.
Almost anything can be germinated. The most popular vegetables include broccoli, radishes, red cabbage, arugula, beetroot, carrots or Chinese cabbage pak choi. But also popular are pulses (lentils, mungo beans, peas, chickpeas) or cereals (spelt, barley, oats, millet, rice). Do not use seed dressings for normal cultivation, organic seeds are suitable for germination.
