- Kiln dried zebrano bowl turning blank measuring 5 inches in diameter, with a thickness of approximately 3 inches (this can vary by +/- 0.25 inches due to starting board thickness)
- Each blank is cut to a round shape and has its edge sealed with parrafin wax
- Zebrano has cream coloured heartwood with dark brown streaks, which can either be uniform or wavy depending on how the wood is cut
- Botanical name Microberlinia Brazzavillensis, sometimes also known as Zebrawood, its interlocking grain makes it prone to tearout
- Glues and finishes well, but has very open pores which can require a transparent grain filler before some forms of finishing
