New and improved 300 watt titanium heater with a remote temperature control. The heater controller is equipped with temperature memory and auto shut off. Titanium heating probe is made of high quality titanium.
INSTALLATION NOTE: The temperature controller will read either °C or °F. To change from Celsius to Fahrenheit press the set button and hold it down for a 3-4 seconds until the LCD read out changes. 1. Select the proper wattage heater for the aquarium. Place the heater and sensor where there is good water circulation. Using the 2 suction cups provided to affix the heating probe to the inside of the aquarium. a. Only place the heating element and sensor in the main body of the aquarium. b. Do not place the heater on the substrate. d. Do not cover heater with substrate. c. Do not place in the substrate. e. Do not place the heater in filtration. Affix the sensor a min. of 4in away from the heating probe. NOTE: The heating probe and sensor must be in the same body of water. 2. Secure the temperature controller above the aquarium and affix to the wall. The temperature controller is never to come in contact with water. Failure to do so will cause electrical arching, fire hazard, premature failure of the unit, and/or loss of life. 3. Attach the thermometer to the opposite side of the aquarium. Allow 10-15 minutes for the heater to acclimate to the aquarium temperature before plugging the temperature controller into an electrical outlet. NOTE: When plugging the ViaAqua® Titanium Heater into GFCI outlet, a drip loop must be arranged by the user for each cord connecting an aquarium appliance to an electrical outlet. 4. Verify there is good water circulation by heating probe. 5. Plug the temperature controller into a GFCI outlet. 6. SET THE TEMPERATURE: a. Choose either Celsius or Fahrenheit: Press and hold the button for 3-4 seconds until the LCD read out changes degree of measurement. b. Press the button once, now the LCD temperature read out is blinking. Press the button (each time you press the button the temperature will raise 1 degree) to raise the desired set temperature. Once temperature is reached wait 3-4 seconds for the LCD temperature read out stops blinking, the heaters temperature is now set. When the unit is heating the red light will be lit and the LCD read out will read the actual aquarium temperature. NOTE: If you pass the desired temperature, continue to press the button once the temperature reading reaches 93°F or 34°C the LCD read out will re-set at 68°F or 20°C. 8. Confirm the temperature with an accurate thermometer placed on the opposite side of the aquarium. A small difference between the reading of the thermometer and the temperature controller is normal.
