“Woolie” the sheep provides valuable safe and warm nesting material for wild bird nesting in the garden. Sheep’s wool improves insulation for young chicks during cold weather. Wild birds seek out this natural material known for it’s strength, softness and warmth. Birds must tease out the wool – do not place in a nest directly. It can be filled with fine twigs, moss, plant and animal fluff as well as fine grasses or wool. SITING Sit “Woolie” in a secure nook of a tree or hang in a visible place near shrubs or from a branch. Place a short firm twig through two of the holes for small birds to perch when teasing out wool. Provide nesting material between February and July H 80 mm x W 110 mm x D 80 mm
