- Function: The HAL switch is used for switching for our dual speed 2-speed motors. If the automatic switching of the motor is too bumpy, this switch gives you full control. When using the HAL switch, there is no interruption during the shifting process and allows for smoother driving, which is more comfortable especially when riding mountains.
- Operation: HAL stands for High, Automatic and Low, which means the two outer positions of the switch are for the first and second gear, while the middle position falls back to the automatic shifting of the motor. This takes place at 12 km/h and leads to a short interruption.
- Installation: The switch is connected to the windmeile Dual Speed Controller – note that there is no connection for the HAL switch with the normal controller. The JST connector leads three lines: plus, minus and signal. The cable is 1.5 m long and the diameter of the housing for connection to the handlebars is 22.2 mm.
