Lava stones with a smaller grain size are recommended as a natural substrate and decoration. Lava stones with a grain size of 10-15 mm are suitable for use in aquarium water filters. We recommend rinsing the stones in lukewarm water before use. The lava stone substrate is characterised by its low weight compared to its volume.
