The Yost V-275 is a 5-3/4 inch jaw width portable visor. This vice has a vacuum base that allows installation on a variety of smooth work surfaces (laminates, steel, granite, glass). The vacuum seal for installation will only work with wood or other grained surfaces. The vice head rotates 360 degrees and can rotate 90 degrees. This allows you to work at many angles of small parts without removing parts from the jaws. The soft jaw vice is included to attach parts without waste. The body parts are precisely casting. The vacuum base is powered by a steel lever to start the vacuum cleaner. In order to ensure optimal vacuum operation, the rubber backing should be cleaned regularly to remove dust and other debris. A few drops of water can be added to the base for the best vacuum adhesion power.
