This Lord of the Rings Stamp Presentation pack was issued my the Royal Mail on the 26th February 2004. The pack contains a set of ten 1st Class Lord of the Rings Stamps to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the publication of the first two parts of J R R Tolkien’s three part book, The Lord of the Rings. The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers were both published for the first time in 1954. The drawings have been sourced from the Bodleian Library, Oxford and are rarely reproduced. The Presentation Pack has been designed to resemble the first edition of the book, incorporating the flap and photographic imagery of the red leather casing of the book, complete with gold blocking. Within the Pack is a timeline of Tolkien’s Life work and details of how the imaginative genius of The Lord of the Rings began.
Ideal as a gift or keepsake, making a wonderful addition to any collection.
