Teflon glides with screws are the best choice for frequently moved objects or on surfaces/floors with many joints as well as for furniture in wet areas.

PTFE glides are suitable for almost all floors. The advantage over felt glides is that they are insensitive to moisture. (Also suitable for outdoor use.)

PTFE glides are NOT suitable for the following floors:
Delicate parquet floors
Resilient floors with rough surfaces (some types of linoleum)
Concrete floors
Screed
With these types of floors, friction creates too much heat, which means that the glides have an extremely short life and produce streaks and scratches.
