The 3M Back Up was developed as support for the Cubitron II line of fibre discs. The disc is available in a ripped and a flat variant. Theflat one is a flexible disc optimal for finer grinding, work on cylindrical or other shaped objects. Available in 60+, 80+, and 120+ grit theflat version is the right choice for surface finishing and delicate adaptive work. The ribbed version is for rougher removal work, with 36+ and60+ grit it is more suitable for flat surfaces and removing welds. The inflexible surface contains a unique design with spherical ripples onthe disc, allowing the disc to focus the force on the point of contact – strengthening the grinding power.
