  • The NE555P is a timing circuit capable of producing precise time delays or oscillations.
  • NE555P in delay or monostable operating modes, the timed interval is controlled by an external resistor and capacitor network.
  • NE555P in a stable operating mode, frequency and duty cycle can be independently controlled by two external resistors and an external capacitor.
  • The threshold and trigger levels are typically two thirds and one third of vcc respectively, these levels can be changed by using the control voltage terminals. When the trigger input is below the trigger level, the flip-flop is set and the output is high. If the flip-flop input is above the flip-flop level and the threshold input is above the threshold level, the flip-flop is reset and the output is low. The reset (reset) input overrides all other inputs and can be used to start a new timing cy
  • The NE555P output circuit is capable of sinking or sourcing currents up to 200 mA. Operation is specified from supply 5V to 15V, supplying 5V, output levels are compatible with TTL input.
