The Abus FAS 97 hinge-side window lock provides the perfect solution here. This lock can be fitted to most wooden and plastic windows. To tilt the window, the lock can be released by hand. The lock always clicks in place automatically when the window is closed so, there’s no chance of forgetting to lock it. The Abus FAS 101 extra narrow hinge-side window lock is a very discreet security device. To tilt the window open, it must be released by hand, but it locks again as soon as the window is closed. Our hinge-side window locks are, of course, tested to VdS standards and can withstand a force of about 1 tonne.
