Note: It is a normal phenomenon that a value is displayed on the screen before measuring. It can be explained as a detection signal from test leads. Every multimeter and clamp meter has the same phenomenon and it has no influence on your measurement.
In order to get back to zero, under voltage measuring, you can cross two test leads to form a short circuit. Under current measuring, you can push the REL key on the panel to zero.
