Avocet Affinity 12″ Letter Box Plate Set. This great 12″ letter box will take full A4 size mail with an external flap that opens to 180°. Each flap is sprung and comes with a finger slot for easy opening. It has both an external weather seal and internal draught seal, these coupled with an internal nylon brush provides great protection against weather ingress. The flap and frame are manufactured from high quality zinc metal to standard BS1004A. Supplied with two lengths of fixing screws and available in White, Satin Silver, Polished Gold, Polished Chrome and Black.. Sizes: Sleeve size – 264mm x 50mm (min. size hole in the door that the letter box will fit.)~Distance between screw hole centres: 270mm~Fits door from 38mm to 70mm thick . Measuring Guide: Take out your letter box by lifting the flaps and unscrewing the fixing screws or bolts. Then measure the exact width and height of the hole and the distance between screw hole centres and check the sizes against the diagram. Measure the door mid rail – panel thickness to determine the letter box thickness needed (i.e. 38/70mm). There could be a difference to your existing letter box, this can be trimmed using a hacksaw.
