The optical distribution using fibre optic or glass fibre offers many advantages over conventional technologies. A damping is hardly present in the cable, so that kilometres of cable distances without an amplifier are possible. On longer cable paths, the optical distribution is therefore very attractive. Optical cables are extremely space-saving, a 3mm fibre optic cable replaces at least 4 coaxial cables and is also more flexible. No electromagnetic interference can be absorbed in the cable and no overvoltage can be transmitted. The cable is equipped with permanently mounted SC/APC connectors and fits Axing products of optical distribution technology with SC/APC connection. Single mode cable, bending radius > 10 mm, length 100 m, with steel reinforcement against mechanical damage.
